Default Question about Sonars/HID's

I'm looking to upgrade the lights in my SS. I've been doing research for a couple weeks now. I would like to get as close as possible to a true HID setup.

The Sonar's have projectors, do these work well with a DDM HID kit? I can't find if Sonar headlamps are designed for HID set up. Are they the "real deal" when it comes to HID?

I've also seen write ups about people using TSX HID set ups in the stock headlamp housing. Anyone running this setup, or similar, how has it worked for you so far?

My SS currently has some halo type of headlamp, "3" lamp look (whatever its called), and its OK. I think it looks better than stock but the "3" throws off the lines from the hood. I'd like to get something like the Sonar's with just "2" ... I think they look better than stock.

Anyone ever try these headlamps from fleabay? ENONKAR or Eagle Motorsports

I would like to get a "true HID" conversion kit, i'm tired of the weak stockers.

The sonars have a cleaner cutoff and wider angle than the Eagle Eyes, and the other set has a weird V shaped cutoff.

While the Sonars aren't "the thing" for HIDs (a perfect HID projector setup for these cars doesn't exist unless you do a retrofit), they are still pretty good.

Thanks for your input, so the Sonars are probably my best bet at an "HID" conversion? I don't want to spend the time retrofitting the stock headlamp housing.

I assume people use the DDM slim ballast, 55W, with the Sonars? I googled Sonar headlights and/or projectors but did not find a "main website" for their product. Where is a good online store to buy these?
