Default Are Sonar headlights a brand or a style?

I have been researching headlights since I want to replace mine with something as close as possible to a HID without doing some retrofit. I read that Sonar has the best projector and cutoff for HID. My only problem is I cannot find any consistent information about Sonar. I have tried Google and eBay ... I have not yet found a headlight that is branded "Sonar" or anything. No manufacturer's website either. The styles vary from store to store and eBay, so it's hard to say what it really is.

How do I know if I'm getting the real deal? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Both I think, mine weren't listed as "sonar" lights but it clearly has sonar stamped on the back of them

How did you know they were Sonars when purchasing them? Assuming that's what you were looking to buy... Is there some kind of "detail" that shows it is a genuine Sonar product, aside from the stamp on the back? I ask because most eBay pictures only show the front.

Thanks for the link. I would have expected it to be a lot more expensive.

Sonars are all ready an aftermarket headlight, there wouldn't be any fake ones.

What I meant is there could be other companies out there trying to mimic the Sonar projectors and sell them for cheaper. It's synonymous to Oakley's sunglasses and all the fakes out there on eBay advertised as a genuine Oakley.

I'm not gonna complain if the Sonar projectors are that cheap. It should work good with the DDM HID kit I plan on putting in.

Does anyone know what bulb style the Sonar projectors use? H1? H3? 9005?

They use H1 for the low beam projector, 9005 for the high beam halogen.
