Here's a few pics of my almost completed car-
It's missing the emblems, grill, new centercaps and a few trim pieces, but here's a sneak preview.
The color is a bright bluish silver, but my digital camera was screwy and made the car look dark.
Anyway.

That is awesome! Love the hood, molded front spoiler, quarters, paint, targa top. Great work, very unique car.

I had inquired into this about 6 months ago at a few bodyshops but they didn't want to get involved. Any weather problems: water leakage air wind noise? Can you get some more pic of the roof and with the top on? Also was this done to a t-top car or a hardtop? What is the targa top made of: metal roof, or what? Need more info!

Holy crap Chris, that came out awesome!! That reminds me, I have all the pieces needed for my front end conversion except the hood and the bumper. I need to talk to you about doing the bumper up to allow a straight shot to the intercooler, I have a few photoshop examples (and I'll make some more) of the finished look. My wedding is April 5th and after that I should have plenty of Dough to swap in the Turbo 6 and finish the car. I have some interesting ideas on what I want to do to the roof and trunk, something I haven't seen before. I'll call you tonight.

Chassis is stiffened via BMR boxed subframes, also welded to the entire rocker pinchweld, plus 4 extra sections of C-channel somewhat extending the subframe connectors out a few inches.
Nothing fancy.
I've been driving this car with the Targa top for about 6 months, it hasn't moved .01 inch. (measured with a 3 foot dial caliper)
The roof is made of carbon fiber, bonded to the original t-top side latches... it attatches and removes just like factory, just one piece. With the roof on , it looks like a hardtop.
Yeah, we had some pics up of me sawzalling the roof bar.

Whistler is being modest with the amount of work he put into this car. It is truly the baddest Z28 i've ever seen.
That being said...pictures don't really do the car justice. You have to see it in person in order to get some of the details (Hell, you would have to have someone SHOW you some of the details).
Whistler
I'll quit leg-humping now
