Anyone have any info on this car old school rubber shift boot with hurst shifter?

^^ wow that looks pretty clean. I was like he only has a single gauge pillar, where are the others, and then I looked around LOL. That old school shift boot looks pretty good in there too.

i dont like it. I actually have one of those that came with my hurst **** for my 65 mustang, i already grabbed a leather boot to replace it.

It works well with the classic Q ball shift **** but I'm not sure it would look as good with the more modern leather style *****.

I was thinking about something like this the other day. I dig it, looks clean. The Hurst stick is the best part.

It looks like its actually bolted down to where the factory rubber boot is (beneath the console). Googled it really quick and this is what I came up with. Looks just about right.

Yeah I was looking at them and was thinking it was a custom one off.

But if you look at the pic it look like the stock leather boot is still there. Because with the stock boot off it would not round off and down like it does in the pic.

To do it you would have to fab up something like this.

(Stock f-body 73-81 shifter trim ring)

Maybe they undid the center of the stock leather shift boot so that it would fit tucked down under the rubber one. That would solve the cheap look of the console without the boot. This is looking more and more like a custom build that someone with a case of beer and a great idea fabbed up.
