If it were me, I'd place the heads, as well as the pistons/rods inside the truck and wrap them if you plan to re-use them. It doesn't take much to nick/dent aluminum.

Decided I'm going to delete the ABS. I'm going to try and do something really truck with the setup. We shall see!

Started working on relocating the stuff that is on the driver's side fender.

I'm going to hide everything where the air pump used to be. I'll trim out the area in the fender well for access to make a bigger hole, then fabricate a nice panel to cover it and attach it with stainless fasteners. That way it will be smooth and painted and good looking, but if I ever need to access my fuses or my proportioning valve I can just unbolt it and have access to it. The brake lines I am going to run backwards from the master cylinder, then drop down in the area between the firewall and fender through a rubber grommet. I'll then run the lines across the inner fender under the liner and out through the front. That way they will all be out of the engine bay.

On the passenger side, I'm going to smooth out the battery tray area, ditch the factory overflow can (which I found out was broken anyway!) and run a catch can either on the firewall or underneath where the old one used to drop down.

Trying to find a place to hide the PCM too.

Wish I could do something different with the A/C, but I'm just not going to remove it. I have two small kids and having AC is more important to me than a cleaner engine bay.

Relocate the PCM to the glove box or under the passenger dash area. Extend the wires/solder/heat shrink.

Is there enough space under the passenger dash area? I thought with the A/C retained that there isn't much room. I'll look tonight.

Wish the LSx computer wasn't so damn big, it's like a laptop stashed in there.

Sportmax 962s. The finish is terrible, the clear has been peeling off since they were almost new. I'm going to start refinishing them this weekend.

And the drivetrain is out! For a car that I been keeping spotless as best I can, engine bays sure do get pretty damn filthy!

my ecm is upp under the passenger side of the dash but i ahd to remove the passenger air bag to do it because i wanted to retain some of the glove box use but if you werent worried about that it can nearly just set in the glove box

if you cut the back of it out it will fit entirely in there

Hmmm, I may look into that.

I have a friend who is a plastics engineer, maybe he can make me a new smaller glove box to make it look cleaner.

looks like your going through what im doing will def be looking at some of your ideas your were im at but i have white and even after cleaning with simple green and several other thing still going to have to paint my engine bay =) im just going to do some paint from auto zone an clear coat and wax it if you do find some were for the pcm with out making wires longer or anything let me know and how do you get rid of abs?

Yeah, no matter how clean I got my engine bay, it was never clean enough.

Pretty sure I'm going to have to extend some wires for the PCM. Don't think there is any way around it.

The ABS I'm just removing the block, connecting the master directly to the front brakes and installing an adjustable master cylinder for the rears.

I'm also going to weld up every hole and opening that I'm not using, making this an incredibly smooth engine bay.

id like to see what you mean on the brakes i need to find some way to do it

and im also filling the holes and sanding everything smooth and the pcm im not sure were im going to put it

Look ma, no wires! Got all the fuse box wiring removed tonight. I'm trying to figure out how I want to get the wiring out of the engine bay. I may cut a hole under the brake booster and run the wires through there. I'll have to cut and resolder them, but I think that might be the only way.
