Youre moving to the rear of the car faster, but thats like literally my current project list... I plan on waiting for a detonated 10 bolt to think about the new setup.. hahaha

Looking good man! I was worried when I saw the picture of that pile of goop haha. Came out good so far. Do you plan on glassing the whole dash for the smooth look?

Updates: covered the entire cluster in two layers of fiberglass resin. Sanded with 80 grit, then 120. Used a very thin layer of bondo on top, just to smooth everything out. Sanded with 120. Used spot putty on other slightly low areas shown by the resin. Just shot a layer of filler primer to see where I'm at. I'm going to test fit this weekend to verify that the gauges will sit at the correct angle to the driver. It should be pretty close but I might have to add some fiberglass to correct the angle.

You should talk to someone (6LE maybe?) about molding and selling them. That is if you want to share such a good idea. Being unique is always cool too!

Since you went through all this to make a custom gauge pod, I gotta ask what do you have planned with all that room where that one gauge and switches are?

What do you plan to put there or is this all for aesthetic reasons?

Kudos on the progress so far, it should be a sick car once its all done.

Well it started as !a/c vents but the left side is just the perfect amount of space for a dual gauge pod. In the above pic, that trans temp gauge will be moved to the new location, paired with a wideband. I'm just re-finishing that area in carbon fiber to match the rest of the center dash section.

Mostly aesthetic. I like making stuff with fiberglass.

If there was interest, I would ship it to him for a carbon fiber mold in return

Market is not for everyone. Although there are a LOT of 93-96 camaros around, you would not have a/c on your driver side and have a dual gauge pod to purchase gauges for.

That thing would look sexy as hell wrapped in Leather with red stitching. CF would look good as well.
