i have to agree, as long as the LSP doesnt smear it can be removed.
why apply a carnauba over a sealant ? ( nxt isnt the most durable sealant anyways...megs #26 yellow tech wax has more durability as an OTC product )
either way,
pictures are needed

It's called layering. The NXT is a sealant and while it does a great job of being durable and producing a shine, adding another coat with a natural Carnauba Wax adds to the depth and shine.

I've heard of one guy adding 17 layers of NXT 2.0. Why? I do not know.
No reason to let NXT haze for that long. That only gives time for dust and other things to land on the car, which will only scratch the surface when it is removed. As soon as it hazes, and can be rubbed off with a finger...it can all be removed.
"Cure times" aren't how long you let the product sit...it's how long you wait to put something on top of it. Example....if you are applying two products, and product A has a cure time of 12 hours.....you need to wait 12 hours after the product A has been removed before you apply product B.

What you are saying about cure times is true. My plan was jus' to top it off with some NXT. Jonas texted me last night saying he wanted some Carnauba wax on top. So now, I'll have to keep it for a bit longer.

I am all open for advice from members as I am continually improving. I was open ears to any suggestions you might have as well until I read, "nxt isnt the most durable sealant anyways." Fact is: NXT is one of the most durable sealants.

I see you like Meguiar's #26, how do you like it in comparison with the #21 sealant?
#45
I have heard from a group of Megs dealers that you can mix 21 and 26 together, and apply it as on product that is both sealant and wax....but these were just salesmen and I have nothing to go off of by saying that. Ever heard of this claim?

It's a good thing they were salesman and not chemist.
M21 lists a confidential polymer solution as an ingredient in the MSDS.
Most polymer solutions have some sort of solvent, ie IPA, etc.
M26 lists paraffins (waxes) and clays in its MSDS.
I would think that the small amount of solvent that is in M21's polymer solution *could* actually degrade the waxes or clays in M26.
I would think that Megs has a ton of scientist and chemist working on these type of things.

i'm not trying to be an ***, do what you do.
but
you are checking a meguiars website for "their" info on "their" product.
dont you think it would be biased ?
and i have not used #21, i was merely speaking of #26 because it can be purchased locally ( over the counter )
i use wolfgang,
clearkote's carnauba moose wax
collinite 845
klasse sealant glaze
optimum car wax
for my own vehicles and "customers"

I took some pics with Jame's camera today.. I will jsut wait for him to upload them.. Sooo this is still a teaser thread
I think the car came out pretty damn good.... Still had **some** minor RIDS that woudl require the use of a purple pad and M105.. But that is just to risky..
I have some BEFORE pics.... Just not sure how good they are.. BC they are from last season and kind of distant shots

Personally after all that washing, claying, and polishing multiple times, I can't just but a carnuba over it because it doesn't last. If I want that wet deep look I'll put carnuba over a sythentic sealant. It will give the carnuba a little bit more sharpness, but you protect your work a little bit more.

Seriously though I am getting it done in the spring time after I make a few changes.

Any picture updates??
There is nothing risky about a purple pad and m105, especially when being applied by DA.
I don't know about all of that...
