Default Custom Black alcantara & black leather stock wheel finished, PICS.

Finally finished installing the stock OEM wheel from my 96 WS6. Custom covered in black alcantara, red alcantara 12:00 position, black perforated leahter, red french seam, and a color change to black. The wheel was also double padded to fit much nicer. I am absolutely stunned at how much of a difference this made not only to the visual impact in the car, but feel of the steering wheel changes the experience of driving a tuned suspension car. It took me longer than I wanted to dis able the airbag system to work on the wheel, but better safe than sorry. There were some very minor differences in parts used to dis-assemble the wheel on my 96 as opposed to the reference dis-assembly procedure everyone directed me to use. Any questions on a 96 please ask. I'm now an expert

Well here are the finished pics:

LT4vert, Thanks !

bad408vert, appreciate the props! The gauge pod / a-pillars are also done in black alcantara along with the shift boot, ashtray lid, and console.

MYSTIC 1SC, Thank you

Empatho, I have been considering changing the shift **** to basically the same style it would just be all black perforated leather. I'm just not sure what to do on the shift ****? It is extremely comfortable. Any suggestions on the **** I will certainly take as constructive criticism I will say this in defense of the ****, it looks very good in person. It might just be camera shy.........

99CajunFirehawk157', Yes, the carbon is hydro graphics.

You are probably right about the shifter **** being camera shy, but I recommend any of these:
1- z06
2- GTO
3- Hurst (stock)
4- Hurst classic white ball

The wheel looks great. I'm not sure about the red mark at 12'oclock, but the rest of the wheel is badass. Wanna try another one???

Irish350,
Yes, I swapped the steering wheel buttons. I purchased brand new units and replaced the incandescent bulbs inside with full SMT LED's

The Alchemist,
Sure, I would be willing to help you design a wheel The red mark looks badazz in person, but once again I think it is one of those things that does not photograph well.

PS: I just love the look of your hood in that shot!

So did you recover the wheel or pay someone else to do it?
