some sort of composite, kind've like fiberglass. Its not carbon fiber. Hood, front fenders, and doors are all the same material.

I believe the hood is fiberglass, the doors are in fact fiberglass and the front fenders are some plastic(y) material. The rear fenders are metal.

Sounds about right. But, there are some companies that offer fiberglass or other composite front ends for the Fbody, one of our sponsers VFN has a 'em.

This is a little side thing but...
why is it always if someone hits your car its always in the rear panels? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
I got like 3 dents in one panel and then the rest of the car is mint

Re: Camaro SS carbon fiber or composite?
Yeah I hate the **** I wish VFN could make just the rear side panel for our cars. So that every time you go to the store you don't come back and find dings on the rear panels. Some kind of bolt on poly would be bad *** and not to mention light.
