The 9005/9006 connector is easy to get at several places online and in auto parts stores. If I remember correctly, many HID kits use 9005 connectors on the ballasts. That's how common that connector is.

No. A H7 bulb will not fit in a socket designed for 9005. However, you can get a pair of 9005-based HID bulbs for $25 and keep your existing ballasts.

if you order out of china (on flebay) and wait a couple weeks you can get the same bulbs that come with almost every kit for 12.99 shipped. Dont worry, all of these kits come out of china no matter where you buy them, your just skipping the marking up middle man lol...

Good to know. I'll probably be doing this to my TA in the next couple weeks! For everyone who is worried about the projectors moving around, I think a piece of sheet-metal painted so it won't rust, that you can mount to the outer plate, make a hole in the center for the projector and then mount the projector to the metal would ensure any movement. Or simply some brackets extended to the projector mounting holes. I dunno, I'll have to play with it a little.

Hmm looks like a very easy and clever way to get projectors into a TA. Subscribing!

To my knowledge, these are the same projectors in the BLS kit, so the cut-off will be the same.

I know this is for the TA / Firebird guys... I had one till last year. Sold it before my last Iraq deployment. SO.....

Just curious to know if ANYONE is ever going to offer a true HID projector housing for the Camaros. The projectors on ebay are for halogen. I know I can retro fit one (TSX), I simply do not have the time with work and family.

Would BLS ever consider it?

Not a bad design but there are a couple issues with it that would concern me.

Output looks good but the focal point of the lamp appears to be off for whatever reason. The hot spots are interesting but the HIDs may make everything look a touch cleaner granted the lamps don't have the same issue. Very nice.

It's something we considered but it's a very tedious task to open up the housing to retrofit the projector. The labor and general cost would price the units higher than I would like for simply a retrofitted stock or aftermarket housing. I've inquired about obtaining aftermarket housings with the lens not attached to the back part of the housing but no one is willing to offer that.
