Hey b4camaro, if you want the best wax at a decent price I would say use Route 66 Exotic Coatings www.rt66wax.com They have a scratch and swirl remover that works awesome and is idoit proof. I'll put that stuff up to anything out there and it will beat it hands down.
The guy who did my camaro was tired of using other brands that don't work and came up with his own complete line of car care products. As far as pads I joined www.truthindetailing.com and they have been great for a beginer. Check it out and let me know if you need any help.

It's alright, but for the money you can do better buying stuff online. The kit reccommended above is a really good starter kit.
If you can get some of the Menzerna FMJ from proper auto care, I would do it. They have it on closeout right now, and I ordered 2 16oz bottles. That stuff is unbelievable as a final glaze.

holy **** there is a lot of misinformation here.
nxt 2.0 is great, but doesn't last long. if you are going to buy a PC online though, you may as well buy better polish online--blackfire wet diamond LSP is one of the most well recommended as of late.
lastly, if you're spending $30 on any type of machine buffer, it's crap. the PC is about the cheapest option that actually works, and it's over $100. everything else is just bad quality or won't spin nearly fast enough to generate the friction required for reducing swirls. also make sure you buy the right pads or else you'll just make your job of removing swirls even harder.

I use mainly Meguiar products Including NXT 2.0 which is incredible Topping it with #26 Hi Tech Yellow Carnuba (which is often carried by auto parts places). NXT is a great product and for the most part I try to avoid "Boutique" Waxes as they are expensive and to be honest I have not seen a signifigant amount of difference to justify cost.
Try this link too, many good detailers here too.

I also got that virus by visiting Autopia...and it's a shame. That used to be the best detailing tool I had, now new people own it and its crap. Very much what this site is headed towards.
