Default shaved rear panel

I have seen a few Camaros on here that have the rear panel shaved or smoothed out. While at the local junk yard I picked up a rear panel for only $16 and spent about a day and a half filling in the "Camaro" and key hole. I still have my other rear panel so if I get bored of this one I can always swap them out. Curious to know which one u guys think looks better. By the way I have taken all the other emblems off the car also.

I used plastic epoxy on both; the key hole I first cut out a small circle from lexan to put in the key hole. I did this so I would not have to remove my lock and also so I wouldn't have to use much epoxy to fill in the hole. After that a lot of sanding and primer to get it smooth for paint.

I'm gonna be difficult, and say i'd like a combination of the 2. the camaro letters look great on your car, it flowed perfectly. But at the same time the clean look looks great too. What i'd do (which i've done myself, after getting bored with the completely shaved look) is shave just the key hole, and leave the camaro letters.

Between your 2 current choices though, i'd choose the original. simply because the rear end flowed better. now it just looks too plain. if you smoked the red section of the lights or added some type of emblem that would probably help pull everything together more.

Looks very nice, I agree that it would look great with the SS emblem right in the center.

They both look great.

More importantly, I love the cyclopse tip!

Panel looks good, love the exhaust!

Used fiberglass bondo after roughing it up a little.....the first time without roughing it up and using regular bondo didn't work too well. It ended up falling out. This is on my old LT1, thinking about doing the something similar to my LS1.

I think the original flowed better, color wise, with the CAMARO letters....

Those LT1 tails are wicked though!!
Maybe a light coat of VHT on the red portion.

A BIG THUMBS UP on your car!!
