Do It Yourself Tint? Hey all,
I took the tints off my Ws6 a while ago for inspection, but I can't live without some kind of tint on the windows. Thing is, I really don't want to drop another $100 to get it done only to have to take it off again.
So with that said, does anyone know any good DIY tint that I can get? Any experiences would be helpful.

I'm a professional window tinter and if someone sells you the film for $25 bucks then it fade in 6 months and have glue failure in less than 2 years.
Roll-ups on a f body aren't that hard. You will need a heat gun to heat the fingers out before you apply it so you don't pull trash everywhere. The key is it only shrinks out one way(up and down between the factory edges)

I did it on my daily driver pickup. but all the glass there is flat, its been abot a year and have had no issues. looks good there and installation wasnt too bad at all.
now that being said, i would never try it on the rear hatch. that glass is nasty curved and im just not that brave. so if you want to save money and stay legal, id get some good film and apply it yourself on the windows, and take it somewhere for the rear.
