Wish it was for a variety of manual shifters. I think it would be cool to use a pistol grip to push down to shift..IMO

It works with any manual **** that fits its threads. I've seen a metal Hurst T-Handle used.

I have that adapter and am using a Hurst T-handle on my V6 Bird. This handle just seems to fit SO well for a push-down and shift action. I also cut an inch and a half off my shift stick.

Well after doing some research from hurts website.

The PISTOL-GRIP SHIFTER HANDLE comes with these thread sizes
Thread Sizes Include: 3/8-16, 1/2-20, M10-1.25, M10-1.50, M12-1.25, M12-1.75, M16-1.50

The auto shift adapter works with most M16 x 1.5mm thread pattern *****

So that being said. Next paycheck, ordering the adapter..and buying me the pistol grip to give it a try

They have one with a 12 volt switch on top. Equipped with a 12-volt 10
amp capacity normally open snap action switch which can be used
for activating a Roll/Control, nitrous or other accessory

Could you wire up electric cutout to the button? I think that would be pretty cool IMO

The button on that shifter is a momentary push button, not a switch. It would be used for a line-lock, or possibly another push to activate switch...not suited for e-cutout usage.

Not true. It doesn't take an electrical engineer to know that a N/O switch can activate a relay. It's not "simple" wiring but it IS able to be done.

To the OP, a shift know with a button on top like the pistol grip one wouldn't be too good an idea. You have to push the **** down to shift and you can't tighten the screws to keep it down or you can't get your key out (without modifications). A T handle know has the button mounted to the side and is least likely to be accidently pressed during shifts by you or someone else who may temporarily drive your car...like a mechanic, police officer, tow truck driver etc.

OK, if we want to split hairs, yes, if you were to make up your own seperate circuit, you could use the momentary push button on the shifter to energize a relay, that with a hold circuit, would activate your line lock. But then you would also have to have a seperate button/switch to deenergize the power to the circuit, or have an even more complicated wiring controller where the the switch toggles a "bit" or contact that would simply switch power to the line lock solenoid. The button (N/O switch) could activate the relay, but not simply deactivate it. You would have quite a bit of extra wiring a such to do and hide.

BUTTTTTTT, back to the simple answer to your question, NO, the momentary button on your shift **** in question BY ITSELF cannot operate a cut-out like you originally asked.

Oh, and i'm not an electrical engineer, i just work with them and wire up instrumentation using the same and similar wiring issues we are discussing to start/stop engines and various control circuits for testing..

And they are ***** not Knows.
