Default Has Anyone Tried This - Convertible Seat Belt Guides Are Better?

So I was looking into getting new seatbelt guides and I noticed that the ones made for convertibles were slightly different. The vert design allows the belts to be easily removed from the guides so make it easier to let people in the back seats.

i never have anyone in the backseat so that wouldn't sway me either way. But, they are easier to use. to replace the normal ones you have to completely unbolt the seat belts from the floor. for these you just slip the belt in and out.

I was going to get those, since my camaro's were missing when i got it, but i found some regular ones at the junk yard, which were free...

If it bugs you that much just get a grinder or dremel and cut a slice into your guide.

I tried using the convertable "split" style at one point.

The problem was the belt kept finding its way out and loose! It became more annoying that cool after a while - so I put the stock ones back in.

did it, still have them, killed the stock ones when I pulled them out... yeah they'll slide out, but only if your in and out the back seat (or tilt the seat up to get stuff out the back).

wasn't a big deal for me.

To prevent the belt from falling out while wearing the belt in a coupe, install the convertible loops upside down . . . really the DS on the PS, and the PS on the DS . . that solves the problem.

That's what I thought. If you have them and have an issue, just flip them and there you go. Could come in handy if you were going to the track and wanted to remove the passenger seat for weight, just slide the belt out and unbolt the seat and you're done.

I have them in my vert... I have NEVER had them get out of the guide. I dont know how its happening to anyone else.. Maybe if you dont have a vert its because the seatbelt retractor is located higher in the hard tops?

Thats my guess. I've had two verts and never had the belt come out.
