LMAO. That happened to my uncle back in the 80's in his firebird. Unfortunately a cop was behind him and it smacked the car in the windshield. Dude was pissed off.

I think they're like 40-70 at the yards around here.

I got a perfect condition 3rd gen bird dash panel from a pick your part a couple years ago...only to find out it didn't fit on my 92 z when I had it...

Sucks about the T-top, I had the same thing happen to me before. Talk about pissed. I was spun into an entirely new dimension of pissed off.

I've had a lot of luck finding parts at junk yards.. Mainly engines and transmissions though.

Bought a LT1 with 45K miles on it for $400 and a T5 transmission for one of my old 94 V6camaros for $150.

Rest easy knowing we're glad we're not in your situation right now. Did it fail to start or the alternator not charging and it died while running?
On another note I just pulled my dash, heater box, and air ducting, and am pissed off at the stupid *** design. There's actually a bolt that you have to take out from INSIDE the heater box. I just ripped it out, I don't need that ****.
/Off topic.

I need to find a pick-a-part yard because most of them by me don't want to let you walk around. So they charge you a premium for removing it themselves. I'd like to find a passenger side door panel because I have a 1.5" crack that's started at the sill. I know I can stop it, but I'd like to get a fresh panel.

FYI I'm not sure which side you lost but RefTheMC here on Tech in the Western Section has a passenger side T Top IIRC for like 50 bucks.

I didn't know you could take the mirrors out of their housing without breaking them, that will be useful to know when I paint my mirrors.

oh how i wish the junk yards here in virginia beach were as big of gold mines as everyone elses, finding a 4th gen here is like finding 500 bucks on the sidewalk, hardly ever happens lmao!
