visit to junkyard... goldmine!
so i finally tracked down a local junkyard / salvage looking for a lower air box and the little triangle that holds your mirror on, (after i bought the supposed part twice from two people on here, who dont know what exterior vs interior means,) and found a few more treasures...
-found a set of the coveted blue side mirrors, off of a 93 or 94 v6 bird, pics to come tomorrow/today, sorry having issues putting them on... but was surprised none the less
-didnt find the box, but found some other random interior plastic pieces, and a set of gray door panels on that same v6 bird, with NO cracks from the window... sitting exposed to the elements with windows down, in the Florida sun. go figure.
enough rambling... point is check out your local yards, for those who are always curious... i cant wait to go back!

pics!
blue vs regular, 3rd pic shows that the onyl difference for install for the blue mirrors was that i had to remove 4 tabs that poked out too far, shown as 4 small gray marks around the center cross.
any tricks to out these in? the long screws are in and holding it, but the cross in the middle is a biotch to get in, and im not sure my driver side is completely set...
*o and they do make a big difference at night for glare

Junkyards can be goldmines sometimes you just don't know what you can find. We found a full catback exhaust with deleted cats, some surface rust and a brand new glasspack muffler for our truck that way. Total cost for it at the junkyard $50
BTW if you are still looking for a lower airbox I have one lying around in my garage.

point being, im sure we all have that little plastic piece that is cracked, or whatnot, and fo 5$ you cant beat it... no shipping charges

BTW my last trip to the junk yard I got a set of chrome (yeah, chrome) WS6 wheels with 2 new tires, a working power antenna, a complete ebony interior headliner to console (seats, door panels, dash everything...except carpet), taillights, and some other stuff I cant even remember for $500. I had to pull it all but big deal...THAT was a deal!!! There was a low mile 02 Formula there that the trans had went out in so they junked it (may have been more to it than that but thats what I was told.)

About a 1/4 of our shop is interior panels I bought. I gutted two car interiors that were semi complete for 200 bucks. Got some blue mirrors and 98 door panels too. I have a lower airbox that is crapily painted black that I will let for for little to nothing

A few weeks ago I found two red LT styled v6 camaros next to each other with the extremely rare flame red interiors like mine, all intact. I didn't have my tools or I would have gotten them. They reeked of smoke though.

I'll have to try the junk yard. I want LS1 brakes but I live in NY which means even if I find a frozen turd in the yard they'll try to rape me for $50 bucks. If that doesnt work out there's always better deals online.
