Hmmm in that case I wonder if it's possible to fix the cloudy spots that have appeared in my tail light lenses... it seems like the lenses are delaminating from the black grid part.

I believe the Formula got the Firebird tail lights because the Formula was suppose to be a wolf in sheeps clothing. IE, an LT1 in v6 body. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

V8 Formulas and Trans Ams came with the black bar tail lights in 93-97. The red one posted in here must have had an owner who liked the solid red tails (not sure why....good God they are ugly), but it originally came with the black bar tail lights.

Wreck perhaps. friend of mine bought his with the solid red and it had been in an accident. Guess teh v6 lights are cheaper or more available. He corrected it.

On the LT1 cars you can take apart the tail light housing and remove the red lenses. I would think the 98+ cars are constructed the same but I dont know that for a fact.

Nope it's one piece. If it were possible, I'm sure more than a few people would have already done it.

Nope on the 98+ housings? The LT1 housings are glued together. They don't come apart with fasteners. You have to carefully pry them apart, remove the red lenses, then glue them back together. Since 98+ are all the same unlike the earlier fourth gens they very well may have changed construction. Anything to save a buck per the bean counters. Those do look bad *** on that black car.

Ok maybe its just me but everyone needs to try to see this if you look at your honeycombs in the right light and angle they look like flames some guy at the design center was really thinking outside the box (or maybe im just getting old)

I'm willing to try making clear honeycomb lenses. No one else seems willing to take the leap. I wouldn't try to do the 4.5th gen style reverse lights, but flat like the early 4th gen but painted inside to make a round look instead of square. Any one got an extra set of LT1-style tails I could use to make em? I'm short on cash, so whoever supplies those lights gets the very first lenses I make. Doesn't even matter if they're V6 or V8 style. PM me if interested.

Dude if I had a WS.6 T/A(dream car) I would definitely be interested, maybe one day I can save up enough money to buy a T/A or trade my car for one! The clear looks so Badass! Way better than the red tinted look!
