just looking to see if anyone on here has used rustolium interior spray paints on their car? im looking to swap over to a black interior but finding a black dash is hard and expensive. ive seen this stuff used on crappy cars but nothing a little nicer like f-bodies.

^ He used the interior paint in the first pic and sayed it sucked, then he went and used the regular out door spray paint you would use on patio furniture and such for the second pic.

Get SEM Landau black paint. you can get it on ebay for about 8 bucks a can. make sure to use their primer first. This stuff is a dye, not a paint from what i understand. used with the primer, it will inset in the plastic/leather/vinyl and not chip and flake off.
do a search for SEM and you should come up with some more info.

I did my interior on my 99 V6 bird.. posted a thread on here with tons of afters. I went with Krylon Fusion for the plastics and then went with the Dupli-Color for the interior paint for the leather like surfaces ( sorry can't think of the name of them now).
My interior has held up great so far, the only flaking I had was on the wheel and thats because I was dumb and did not get the back side of the steering wheel. So my hands were rubbing and pulling the paint in areas on the tops and sides. Its easy to chip off though, if your person who likes to load down your interior with crap and stuff things into the car or you just generally kick the hell out of your interior panels you will have scuffs and need to touch up the spots fairly often.
The only prep I did was a wipe down with dawn and water and then I let it dry. Sprayed a bunch of light coats and called it a day.
My kick panels were the worst for this so I bought a set of ebonys from a member here. The Ebony kicks are a little lighter than the satin blacks that I bought for my interior paint but it matches well and unless I point it out; no one even notices.
Just search the threads Ive started and you should find it.

The best I have found so far is the Hi-Tech Vinyl & Plastic Dye. Excellent coverage and they have one of the highest paint solid's content among the brands. Keep in mind if your dying interior pieces, its all in the prep work.
