Yes, it's rare. There's 0 of them from the factory.

Ebony is what you have.

Looks ebony to me, which is damn close to black. I have never seen a black option in any literature or info I have found. Only way to tell for sure is to pull the RPO codes.

2000+ Was ebony(black).
What year is your Camaro? If it's not 2000+ it's not ebony.
Alot of people think 1999 had ebony, because at the time, that was as dark as you could go.

It's possible someone spray dyed your door panels black if it's truly darker.

I don't specialize in Pontiacs whatsoever, but if that car was a Camaro, I'd say with 100% certainty if it came from the factory like that, it's ebony. Black simply never existed for Camaros and I'm 99% certain it didn't exist for Pontiacs either. There was no special 1-off accident or anything.

Ebony was only available 00-02.

I put 02 Trans Am door panels in my camaro and the leather is a little darker than my ebony interior. So far its been that was in all TA's. Don't think it was an option, just a different cut of leather

Could be the leather was maintained, or preserved better in the TA vs the Camaro (yours, not all).
Ebony is ebony. Some may be worn more than others, but from the factory, they are all the same color.

Its raining! Shut the door! lol. Looks ebony to me. Do you have a product shine or anything you cleaned it up with? Might give it that darker look.

Not sure where you're seeing my tint in that pic. But yes, I have since tinted my side windows.

Makes the interior look even darker.

Ah ya, that was the tint that came on the TA hatch. Other than the slight purple hue, it's still in really good shape (no bubbling/separating). I might get it redone, but it serves it's purpose so it's on the bottom of my priority list.
