cracks in side bolster- dye?
cracks in side bolster- dye? My seats are basically in mint condition. I got them out of an 02 that got wrecked with 20k on them & have been very careful when getting in & out so as not to rub & put wear on the bolsters. Unfortunately I can't say the exact same thing about my passengers. Although they don't have wear marks and don't have cracks in the leather, they do have what appears to be some white marks on them like the leather has lost the top finish or something on them.
has anyone experienced this or have a fix for it? I was considering trying to get one of those leather repair kits from wal-mart and just use the dye that comes with it to get something close and kind of 'paint' if you will the white marks on the side bolsters. suggestions?

I havent used the kit on T/A seats, but I have on light gray seats in a BMW.. Personally I was pretty impressed with the results especailly considering they were cracked. It made the driver seat (with 260k miles) look practically brand new. Granted its not perfect, but its not a magical product/ procedure.. I would venture to say that if yours dont even have wear marks, the right color die should practically make them invisible, especailly sinceit'll be on the bolsters which arent exposed to as much wear and tear as the seat itself. Unfort. I dont have any pics to support my claim, but I'd say go for it......... I need to do the same for my seats so let me know what you decide.

Leatherique for sure I used it on mine and wow it made a huge difference. I took before and after pics but my photobucket is messed up or I would post them. Its expensive but well worth it and get the 32 oz rejuvinator and I would only get the 16oz cleaner.
