I used the old passenger's visor to mark a trimming outline and cut the section
where the visor slides onto the arm.
(Not shown) I glued the core assembly up inside the outer skin. I used the
Weld-On #16 plastic adhesive.
When set, I glued up the edges and then trimmed the remainder of the piece.
I lightly sanded the edges to remove the raggediness of the trim.

And now, the money shot....
Not terrible. The black doesn't exactly match the rest of the (now faded)
black interior, and the grain is not identical to the dash plastic. But it's close
enough to not stand out and not as bad as a floppy faded fabric one in my
book.
I think I'll run the side of a soldering iron around the edge to clean up the seam
and maybe squirt some black silicone into the outboard end to fill it, but that's
about it.

I was thinking to use the triangular plastic piece with a black circular plate inside it to cover up the hole and make it look finished.
