I've always hated the LS1 SS mentality. If I had a dime for every 69 Camaro that shows up at a car show badged as a Z28, but started life as a different model then I'd be a rich man (yet no one throws a fit about any other generation Camaro clone). If you want to clone an SS, then clone it. It's not like the fourth gen Camaro SS is such a rare car that it deserves it's heritage to be guarded this closely.

You already have the wing, the hood and the wheels. Either go with SS badges or badgeless. Z28 badges won't look good on a car that "looks" like an SS.

because the ss is so much better?

OP: Do whatever you want. You shouldnt feel ashamed to have a Z28.

Oh, no matter what you do anyone that really knows 4th gens will know thats not a stock ls1 car. You are missing the standard LS1 lift kit. Only LT1 cars came stock with a decent ride height.

Going to remain badgeless...

Plans are for a SLP bowtie grill and clear corners and Halo headlights and redoing my 10 spokes to look like 35 Anniversary wheels.

I'd either put SS badges on it so its consistant with the rest of the exterior, or leave it badgeless if that bothers you. In the end its your car, do what you want with it.
