Can't get my HID's to come on??Help??? Okay I bought some eagle eye projectors and ordered the DDM HID Kit with H3 bulbs and a harness to run them straight off the battery. My problem is even without hooking up the harness I can't get my drivers side low beam to come on. I also tried with the car on in case they weren't getting enough power with it off. My halos, fogs, and side markers all work fine but no HID lights.
Here is how I hooked it up. From the bulb I ran and hooked up the HID wires to the ballast. The factory harness is plugged into positive on the ballast. Pretty simple it seems but no lights. I have the harness but wanted to see if it worked like this first. There are an extra set of wires on the bulb harness. Do i need these somehow??

They should be identical, yes. But if you switch the ballasts and the problem moves from the drivers side to the passengers side then you can narrow down if it's an issue with the ballast itself or an issue with the power being supplied to the ballast.
When I had my Camaro I ran in to a similar issue, and it turned out the polarity of one of the ballasts I had was reversed. So I had to do some rewiring on the harness to get it to work correctly.

So if the issue is in fact something with the polarity all you have to do is change the red and black wires around at this point...
You can do that by pulling them out (they take some muscle, but they will come out) and then just swapping their position.
But before you start ripping apart your kit I would really try swapping the ballasts around and see if the problem shifts or not. I know that some people need an additional harness for their HID's to get them working correctly. I needed it for my fogs, but not my lows.

You can do that by pulling them out (they take some muscle, but they will come out) and then just swapping their position.

BTW I have the harness but I was just trying to hookup everything simple right now to see if everything worked. I have a large system in the car so I got the harness so I would not have any lighting issues. My battery is new so that helps out alot.

okay if I reverse the OEM connector going to the ballast and they do come on it won't hurt to run it like that first and then hook up the HID harness will it? Won't overload the stock wiring or anything and burn stuff up will it?
Sorry all the questions...wiring is not my forte so I have alot to learn.

Bingo!! Switched it around and they came on. But, the strange thing is when I hooked up my HID harness all the connections are correct and didn't have to switch anything around. Halos and lights look great.
One question though...the lights are flickering and not sure if its because my cam is shaking the car or if the light bulbs are loose. The fit right in the hole with no problems but the bulbs seem to be shaking or something. Has anyone else had this issue??
