Yup, that's my handy work. Guy got a real good deal as I would probably charge twice as much the second time around. Padding is optional the way I repaired it, but does give a better feel to it. Several options on the vent area, but club member wanted polished aluminum to match other things in the interior. Epoxy I used failed to hold the clips in place once mounted, but the velcro hold it well enough.
Dash was really too far gone when I got it, and the act of removing it caused chaos. But a deal's a deal and I saved it.
Super glue with accelerator to piece it back together:
Drill holes on either side of every crack:
Scuff the entire back side with 3M pads:
Tape the front side of cracks and fill the back side with two part 5 minute epoxy. Lay fiberglass strips into epoxy:
Layer back side with high weight fiberglass cloth:
Resin it up and let it cure:
Fill in holes that didn't get full:
Cut and shape defrost area:
Sand top side and smooth it out with some lightweight filler:
You could wrap it at this point, or cover it in upholstery foam:
Wrap it up:
Tuck it under and glue:
Cut and shape the desired vent. Glue it on and reinstall:

On mine I used matching vinyl that came with my leather seats. It was too dark. I painted it with SEM and got it close, but it's too light and a different shimmer under flash and fluorescent.
For the other dash (and what I've switched to for other pieces and will recover my dash) I ordered a sample of every dark gray material my upholstery shop had. Laid them all out and looked at them. Rule out the ones where the texture is off or the color is way off. Then narrow it down from there.
