Default Motorcycle Fender Delete (today's project)

The rear fender on these bikes is just plain UGLY! Had to do something about it...

This is the general outline that I used: http://www.gsx650f.biz/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1547

When all said and done, what was "removed" from the bike:

After the chop, I had to drill holes for the turn signals in two different locations, and also holes for the plate bracket. Then the Dremel was used to sand down the edges where the cut was made; 80 grain first, 120 grain second. After a few other small modifications, the turn signals were mounted with Nyloc nuts and lock washers.

Threw a tinted windscreen on today too!

Negative! It's an inline-4; a little less aggressive stance than the GSX-R models, but it's an excellent all-around bike. Comparable to the Ninja 650 I would think.

Eh. I agree that the plastics that come from the factory are teh gay and look all stupid, but I would have gone with a undertail kit (had a Hotbodies undertail on my GSXR-600) with the integrated LED turn signals and plate mounting and it was really clean. Not bad work on your cycle because it was essentially free, but that plastic hanging down is still an eye sore for me on bikes.
