Yes,
We only have about 1 day a week we can squeeze out right now to devote to the mill. We have been selling record number of items this year, and working every single day. This entire year we have probably only had off about 10 days. So after the next day we work on this thing, I think we will be ready to make them.
This weekend we did not get an opportunity to work with the programs because our main computer took a dive. We had to copy all the existing drawings and files off the the old hard drive to the new computer. Took an entire day to get that done.
We also made an addition to our mill that took another day.
CNC mills calculate their position numerically by a computer. They do not come with a Digital read out "DRO". So we installed three axis scales on the machine. This way we can manually use it, not just via the computer.
I know its been a while, mostly due to one day a week programming and tests.
So, I think we are basically ready to list these. After one more verification.
Next week is the 4th of july, and not sure what's going on there yet.
Trust me we want to get these done. We are planning to make these in batches. Then when that batch is all sold, make another batch. Also since we do not know who will want the satin, or chrome, or black chrome finishes:
Chrome parts may have a two week lead time.
Thanks, Roger

These will be up for sale of this forum in a couple of days in the satin finish.
I need to get the pictures taken and watermarks placed on them first.
The chrome sets will be available in about two weeks.

Sorry it has taken us so long, we have been to busy to explain very easily.

That is correct,
I wish I was better at taking pictures. These are very nice. We made the tops a little thicker than the sides. When you hold them, they have a good weighty feel to them. The satin finish feels good. Also the knurling, and larger chamfer on the edges adds a nice look and characteristic to them.
The etching looks nice and crisp on the caps.
One of these days I need to find someone with a real nice camera to come and take pictures for me.
Thanks, Roger

We did not make the oil cap yet. Because of the different types everyone has.
Some have the ones with the raised center, some have the flat center, some have the breathers, etc...
We are not sure what to do with that one yet.
Thanks, Roger

This has been one of those projects that has simply taken us a lot longer than we planned. For some very strange reasons, and for the following reasons:
1) We are busy as hell here.
2) We have invested in a 3 different machines this year including a new super laser. This stuff requires a lot of setup time and labor to get running.
3) We did have an issue or two with the plating company which we have now worked out.
4) We have been working on the caps for multiple cars at once, so it did take more time.
5) We are going after Ford licensing and have been working with that.
6) We have some other new products coming out I have not told anyone about yet. But all of this stuff will be released practically at the same time.
Truthfully: The bottom line is that these will be for sale as soon as our caps come back from plating. I spoke with the girl there this morning about when I should expect them. I need to get pictures so we can list them on the site. That is all we are waiting for. Programming fixtures etc... are all done.
So competitors hoping we have changed our minds, you are simply out of luck, these are going to be for sale soon. You benefited from our delay.
For you guys who have waited You will be glad.
I apologize for the delays, but once these are listed, the game is on.
Once again sorry for how long this has taken. We have not even taken many days off this entire year. Definitely our busiest year yet. A lot of the actions we have taken this year will enable us to get parts out quicker, and
make new items we could not do before.
Basically a huge investment of our time.
THanks, Roger
