Project OVRKILL: The BLING Phase!!!

I did. I knew they stuck out past the stockers but wasnt sure how much...nor could I get a response in time to take advantage of the deal I got on the wheels. Because Fikse pushes the outside of the wheel as far out as possible I had them make provisions for a Brembo 4th gen BBK - didn't want to risk having to add a spacer and push the wheel past the fender. Figured that way I'm covered....

Nothing changed there, but the centers were cut to be further outboard. Can't confirm by how much.
Thanks!
Color only exists with Fikse. Having been exposed to similar finishes in the OEM world, its a multi-layered process of base, middle coat and clear in a combo of paint and powder. Color is called Dark Speed Silver and is absolutely stunning in the sunlight. I'm proud to be the the first 4th gen to sport them
Thanks FAB....might be looking for a couple "extra" details from you guys to finish things off!

A little "meat and potatoes" update. K-member and control arms getting ready for the shiny new bullet! Spent some time making the spindle as purty as the UMI goodies.
Detail stuff still in the works. Have boxes of chrome, powder and hyro-coat parts out for finishing. Should all be back in a couple weeks....
In the meantime...bullet "cradle"!

While I'm still waiting for go-fast parts to be finished, I'm in the "what else can I do?" mode....
Bilstein make-over! Yellow and blue were not going cut it!! Hard to tell in these pics but I used a light silver metallic to match the V caipers. Didn't come out to bad...
V-brakes are beautiful to begin with. Problem is, this is not a V. Soooooo.....
1. Remove "V" decal
2. Replace with Carbon Fiber film "Brembo"

Lookin' tight Brent!!
Very sophisticated but not too understated. (What the hell did I just say!)
I'm in Petoskey (northern Michigan) vacationing with the family (still asleep after a loooong night) checkin' out the forum and itchin' to get back to work on my ride if you know what I mean.
C'ya,

Looks great! How did the seam on top of the wheel well get blended so well? I know there is an area that kind of flips upward and is open underneath. Did the metal get shaved down and then filled? It looks too smooth to just be filed over.
