If you are sneaky enough.. I would go 5% all the way around.
On my 94 Camaro.. I had 5% on the rear, 20% on the sides..and It looked good..but I needed darker.. Went with 5% on the sides..lasted me about a year untill I got pulled over.So had to take the 20% off..currently has no tint on it..for now![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
On my 00 5% rear,20% sides..same outcome..removed...
When my tax comes in.. Going with 35% on the sides this time..You can still see pretty well with the 35% and the 20%..only thing I dont like about the 5% is sometimes for me it was hard to see.

This may give you an idea....I'd rather have them darker but 35% is legal in NC and I don't want the hassle. 20% in my opinion is perfect, but 35% still looks good. My father in law has 20% on his crew cab truck, and he's backed into a parked truck before. It was on there when he bought it and he's always complained about not being able to see out when he's backing up, especially at night.
Keep in mind these are crappy cell phone pics....every time I decide to take pics my wife has the camera.
Formula 1 Pinnacle (upper grade) 35%, looks ALOT darker from the side than straight on. Reflects alot more light than any other Formula 1 tint.

Formula 1 Ultimate (mid grade) 35% on my truck. Fronts are 35% and rears are factory 20%, untouched. The driver's side window is about 1/4 way rolled down, should give you an idea of the darkness of the window.

see my sig for all the pics you could want
. 20% sides and back, no tint on the front. I want to do 35% or 50% on the front, but as far as the rest I love it!.. That said, my eyes are sensitive to light and I can see out of the 20% perfectly fine, and check your local laws but you may be able to get a tint exemption sticker for that type of condition ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
Also sporting the formula 1 brand tint

and to further that its all about angle... this is shot with the sun directly in front of the windshield coming through the driver side glass, pictures are tricky.. I can make my tint look 5% in a shot if you want![Tongue](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_tongue.gif)

Anyhow with 20% all around on a cloudy or rainy day, you can NOT see in my car

I love my 5%, chicks dig it to when stuff goes down in the car. I havent been stopped for it yet, the only bad thing is its nearly impossible to see out at night unless your in really lit up areas, also yeah its illegal. The advantages though, looks good, cant see in, cant see whats in your car, ect. If i was doing professional tint i would prob do 5% in the back 15% on sides, just cause of seeing at night. Anyways best of luck to ya, get that **** on there!

20% all the way around. It seems to match the factory tint on the T-Tops perfectly. It's tough to back up at night if the area you're in doesn't have good lighting, but that's the trade off I guess.

I have 35% on my sides, 15% on the back and a 5% strip on the front.. I wanted darker on the rear window, but they didn't have enough to tint it out.
Ohio tint laws are pretty strict. So I didn't wanna go too dark and be overly obvious, but at the same time I didn't wanna get something that was almost as clear as the factory windows either.

most states say 30-35% is the darkest you can go. I did 20% and it looks damn good on my black camaro. I also think that's the darkest you can go, because at night it is hard to see out the back.
Also warn against tinting the back a different percentage than the side windows. Cops will notice the difference and probably pull you over.
and it looks cheaper that way

20% on my old WS6:

5% on my TA:

Trying to see in my car at night is about as effective as walking around with your hands over your eyes. If you drive a lot at night.. I'd do 20 or 15 if you can. 20% is perfect at night. You can see out pretty well, and at night they can't see in really. During the day with 20% you'll see a figure of a person in the car, thats about it.
