This guy actually made a good cai that sucks it from under the the car. Search it in google and I think that speed Inc sells them. Mildly pricey but I think it's a proven piece. Better gains than the normal slp or ftp ram air kits

Good point. Just not too fond of screwing up an otherwise undamaged hood.
Looks like FTRA, or SLPs. Doesn't look to be that hard to construct, but it's beyond my knowledge of constructing.

I did that to mine, albeit more elegantly. No idea if there is any benefit though.

Was kinda thinking if I make precise cuts, and measure them, if maybe someone like 6LE could make plastic baffle inserts that could cover up the cut edges, and help guide the air into straight towards the intake, rather than getting lost in the various other openings in the hood.
That looks good. Any more info you can pass on to help me, would be much appreciated. Any other shots of it?

What did you put to seal/clean up the cut edges??
I didn't follow a guide. Just drew lines where I saw fitting (by constantly opening and closing the hood to check. After cutting, I smoothed the edges out with a file, followed by sandpaper. To finish off, I put door trim around the edges.
