Man.....just did my second polish job with this stuff.........so damn humid. It was actually a little bit of a bitch to get off. Not like the Zaino is in humid weather. But just to let you all know....it was easy as pie the first time months ago when I started this thread and did it. But in humid weather.....it was kind of tough.
So friggin hot out now I just do the car in pieces. I'll do the hood, deck lid and spoiler, front and rear bumpers and about 8 inches down from the top of the exterior paint all the way around. Then a few days later I'll wash it and do the rest all the way down to the ground effects. Just too hot to hang out there for 2-3 hours and do it all.
But damn.............this stuff is the ****...........

Whelp, I'm gonna go pick up a kit from autozone or wherever of this stuff. My old red Z28 was always so easy to get the color to shine, but having NBM it's made me open my eyes to getting that metallic paint to shine, and this stuff looks like it's perfect for doing it for a regular in store item.
I just wanna make sure, is the attached pic the right kit? It's what turned up when I googled it, and I don't wanna grab the wrong one.

I was in a rush and this was the only meguiars kit they had with ultimate anywhere on the packaging. Anyone know if this is the one talked about in the thread? I haven't opened it yet since there's no need to, but also to return it if I happened to get the wrong kit.

Went and got the right stuff, went to 2 o'reillys, an autozone, pepboys and then one last o'reillys where they had one last package of the wax left. Came out pretty good. Pictures I can't really see much of a difference(especially since it's just my x2's camera) But in person soon as I did half the hood to compare the difference, it looks much more bright and the metallic shines much better than before.
First two pics are from a few weeks or a month ago to get an idea of the paint before. The rest are from today after finishing it up, and then the last two are HDR pics that I took when I thought I was using the normal camera so I figured I might as well post'em too since I've got'em.

UPDATE.....
Man...this Meguiars is good ****. I'm getting 3-4 good months of killer water beading out of each application. Nothing sticks to this stuff....not bugs, no water spots, no bird ****, dirt, etc....
I wash the car, put it on, then wash the car again, and dry it. It comes right off when I wash it. No more dry removal with a towel for two hours, PAIN IN THE ***.
Sometimes if my car is dirty and I don't have time to wash it.....I hose it down for 5 minutes all around and drive away.....clean as hell and let it wind dry.
good ****.......

Nothing against Meguiars as I use a bulk of their products but I find most of their over the counter waxes to be not very durable. I've used NXT wax, Cleaner Wax, Gold Class Carnuba, and all of them lasted a few weeks or even less on the NXT wax. I've since changed to Megs #26 carnuba and Collinite #845 insulator wax with better results. The 845 is awesome and very durable.

I've used the Ultimate Paste Wax for a year now. It doesn't really do much on my BRR, but the IBM on my TrailBlazer REALLY pops. I'd say anything metallic is going to notice a significant difference with this line as opposed to the other OTC brands (I used a lot of Eagle One and Mothers before switching to this Meguiars).
I don't daily drive my Camaro (it's only seen water once since I've owned it -- and that was its first wash), so after each drive, I dust the car with a microfiber and then wipe it down with the Ultimate Detailer (I used to swear by car dusters, but microfiber towels seems to do the job just as easy).
For my DD (the TrailBlazer), I use the Ultimate Spray Wax between washes. I did, however, just buy the Ultimate Wash to "complete" the system. It includes a wax agent, so I don't know if the spray wax will be necessary at that point. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, though.
I will say that I gave the Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish a shot on the BRR. I wasn't all that impressed, to be honest. Perhaps if I had applied them with an orbital I would have had better results (or maybe the paint was just that bad -- I bought the car used from a guy who was DD'ing it). DEFINITELY avoid applying either product in the sun or heat as it becomes a pain to remove.
