I'm digging whiteheartbeat's stripes...they follow the wheel well opening nicely, making for an appearance that doesn't look out of place. I don't really care for most iterations of the hockey strip on 4th gens for this very reason...they also tend to go way too low, I always thought that they should stop at the fender/nose line.
Edit: I photoshopped my ideal set of hockey stripes for a 4th gen...

The problem is that the body lines of the 4th gen doesn't really allow for a true hockey stick shape like the '69...which is after all what the stripe is trying to replicate. Also, go look at a HS on a '69...it doesn't go all of the way down either. The HS on the '69 was a stripe that followed the top of the fender line...and just so happened to look like a hockey stick.
If you wanted to continue the stripe further down on my PS, I'm cool with that...at least it matches up with the car and doesn't contradict the body line. Its cool if we don't agree, just my .02 cents.

The Fender was much larger, and was the majority of the front unlike the 4th gens, the bumper is most of the front on these cars. the 69 stripes cover the entire fender... some of them even have the "350" or other cubic inch emblems there to break up the stripe.. much like the Bumper line of our cars. I just think without the bottom it looks incomplete
