Cool. Thanks Sparky. I think they'll go well with Pewter. Why are there so many bulbs pictured? And do you think the standard bulbs are bright enough in a smoked lens, or would LED be better?

Because that set linked has rear side markers too, so a pair of bulbs for that, then you have the front corners which have the larger 3157 bulb in the front and a small 194 bulb on the side. I personally didn't like the rear markers, so I took my stock ones and used VHT on them.

But seriously, do yourself a favor and don't use those 3157 bulbs they come with. They melt their own bases, the plastic is really cheap and the yellow coating is pretty bad. Get some sylvania 3157NA bulbs, they have amber glass instead of coated clear glass and have a much nicer look to the color of the bulb and won't melt the plastic. I used Sylvania 194NA bulbs for the sides too as they were a deeper amber than the cheap coated bulbs the corners come with.

Also, another thing that I did was I used a black sharpie on the white plastic 194 sockets on the sides to make them black so they would blend in. Looked 10x better with them that way.

Right. So the small red 194s are for the rear side markers right? And then theres the larger 3157 for the front with the smaller orange 194's. So I guess theres an extra pair of smaller orange 194's? Not that it matters because....

I'll take your advice on the Sylvania bulbs and excellent use of a sharpie . Thanks!

I'll just see how it looks with the Sylvania's and if I decide I want brighter I'll consider some LEDs.

My guess is they include the second set of orange bulbs because some people prefer to have front and rear orange instead of the rears being red. I don't know about the legality of doing so however, and I think orange back there looks funny.

I know it's an old thread but ****! I can't get the damn things in. My cars been wrecked on one side before and that side is easier than the side that's been untouched. Does the whole bumper need to come off? Or at least loosen the bolts that hold them in? Someone please PM me. I don't check the thread often. Thanks guys! Hopefully, I can still count on LS1Tech for good advice.
