I think I need a new dash (freak accident.)
I was driving south on I-35 by Hillsboro, TX when a big rig cut me off. That was not too bad, but there was a mud flap holder (big metal thing) on the road. Well, he run over it and it flew in the air and it hit my car. I couldn't stop since we were doing 70-75 and I had glass flying everywhere so I couldn't get his license plate. I got the windshield replace but I think I am going to need a new dashboard. The last picture is with the new windshield.

I do feel lucky, the dash and windshield can be replace and much cheaper than a trip to the hospital (or the morgue) . Although I am pissed that the trucker didn't even stop. The shop wanted 1150 to replace the dash so I decided to do some research and just do it myself. I will look into the firebird dash.

Holy ****. Hopefully someone stopped and helped you. But I don't think the semi is at fault. My dads a truck driver and if say their tire blows and totals your car, its not their fault. Same as objects falling off the trailer, ectm but thankfully your still alive and kickin

I need a new dash as well but mine not from what to yours though. You are one lucky person cause not only an inch or two could have had a different out come but you could have turned a little to much to avoid it and then it may have been lights out.

Just try to imagine of you were 2 feet further on the road when it hit your car?
That is way to close, not to be feeling extremely fortunate. I hate driving with trucks, I always watch what they do, and what is in the road. When I pass them I get it over with and put them behind me. I will not stay behind them.
Thanks, Roger
