Here's what I don't like:

Cheap interior materials
Seats that have no support
Cracked door panel plastic
Crappy factory speakers - every previous F-body I've owned had the hatch and back seat speakers blown out, and the front speakers weren't far behind
10-bolt - it saved GM money to use it, but it's completely inadequate for these cars
Stock suspension - whoever made the decision to use the DeCarbon shocks should be shot.

 

1.) Window motors x100
2.) Pop up headlight motors x100
3.) Speakers x100

 

Honestly, I really don't like where the cup holder are in the front. Kinda get in the way if you ask me.

 

The squeaks and rattles from the body while driving. The lack of styling of the
4th gen camaros, f-bodies should've had wider fenders similiar to the C6 vette, weak 10 bolt, y-pipe instead of true duals suck.

 

frikin cup holder in my 95 ta.......... i have spilled so many drinks into the shifter its not even funny. and everytime i gotta take it apart and clean it..... i dont get what they were thinking when they didnt put a front lip on it....

and 10 bolt..... they shoulda just copied ford or something (did i just say that?????)

 

As far as 1998 - 2002 Camaros are concerned:

Other than that...
1. Hard to do dual exhaust
2. Crappy stock shocks
3. Hard to replace plugs
4. Slow windows
5. Stock speakers and headunit


On LT1 specifically...

1. Optispark
2. Optispark
3. Terrible headlights
4. No "low fuel" gauge.
5. Optispark

 

 

Oh, did we mention the ten bolt as well as the friggin ten bolt and oh i almost forgot the ten bolt!

 

damn! thats scary I never paid that any attention before,I've always heard jokes about it but never paid it any attention. AND DID I MENTION THE TEN BOLT?!

 

I hate where the cup holder is. You cant have a drink in it with a 6 speed because it's in the way of your arm. Oh and the cracked door panel but I got the car after it was too late to do anything about it. And the speakers haha

The way that even though mine was pristine....it just felt like a big cheap car.

 

The rear bumper sticks out to much.

 

interior comfort and product......anytime we need to take a long trip we always take the GTO

 

shifter position! i hate slamming my knuckles into my hvac *****! (thanks b&m for no more of that)

and ten bolt and door cracks and bubbles!

 

Engine being halfway under the dash.

 

Speakers. I could spend a few hundred on replacements and still not get ANYWHERE near my 07 Impala's system unless I get subs.

Seating position. I feel like no matter where I move the steering whel or the seat I'm never completely comfortable.

 

Agree on everything said before+ the uneven floor area in front of passengers seat- what did they think of?

 

I hate how the side windows dont drop down and then go up to fit into a rubber piece like the newer mustangs and camaro's do. Because of this window motors get beat to hell just by shutting the doors.


I also dont like the headlights or fog lights on the LT1 cars.
I dont like how the hatch release is in the glove box.
Center console should have lifted to the side and not up and back. They fixed this on the corvettes.

The Fbody was a building block in the direction of modern cars.

Overall I like te 4th gen and love driving my car.

 

they should of installed true dual exhaust from the factory just like they did on the vettes
