I understand your consternation but we both know this wasn't directed at me

Besides YOUR custom gauges in my car, were I to list everything aftermarket that I've purchased for my car (not everything go, a LOT show as well) it would take up half a page here on Tech

Since 6LE is not interested, any other Sponsors? DragonZ?

^^no no no. Definitely not directed at you or anyone in particular at all to be honest.

To clarify, what are we talking about here, T-top or Hardtop?

T-top I could actually easily make as I realize now my tabs are broken and it stays on with the screws anyways, lol...

Hardtop not so much. It HAS to have all that crazy inside stuff...

Also, the defroster vents would not be perfect but would be close...

I'd love to see a 2 pod T-top. and why would the defrost vent be hard?? It's just a hole corretct? the vent pops out of the factory pillar, doesnt it??

You guys do know that speedhut makes both a 2 and 3 pod full pillar pod for t-top cars.

CORRECT! this is for my IROC but you get the idea.....1 complete molded piece with the pods already molded in.....not the riveted pieces added on

ALSO!...KEEPING THE BOTTOM POD OFF THE DAMN DASHPAD ABOUT AN INCH OR SO....like mine!

I have always said if someone made a triple pod that was a bolt-in they would have the F-body market cornered. As far as the speedhut it will need a ton of work to make it look like most people want for their car. I know, my unit is an old speedhut, which is an Autometer. My Triple has a ton of custom work along with being covered in black alcantara. It is exactly what I wanted, but it cost a small fortune and a ton of work to produce the end result.

PS: 6LE, you can still order the defrost vents from GM last time I checked. All you would need to do is make sure the hole is the right size with a slit at the top to match the defrost vent insert.

Why not try:
Making.
Bringing to production.
Advertising,and promoting the product...
People wanna see it/how it looks on or in the vehicle...Others idea's aren't gonna get you paid if it isn't in production

The pillar is a little more bulky, but I've got some good ideas how a copy of this could easily be reduced to the thickness of the OEM A-pillar. After going through this process I'm quite sure I could create something that would be closer to an OEM result. My pillar came out great and fits perfect, but I learned a lot in the process.
