Default Oem ws6 badge

Don't know if this is the right place to post but seems more so then not.

Well after getting some paint touched up from a parkIng lot dillemea and seeing a 1000 dollar bill from the repairs I'm left with a question.

During the respray of the clear on my rear bumper, they removed my ws6 emblem and in the process slight defected it. This is a 3 inch deal as in further from 3 inches you can't see it aside from touching it and feeling the defect.

The shop/insurance company bought me a new "and sealed" oem ws6 badge, not a replica. They paid $200 for it.

It was never installed although I did open it for inspection.

What kind of value do these hold in a forum like tech and should I remove my blemished emblem and install the new one or am I better off selling the new one??

"btw I'm more opt for trades then cash"

Any advice on what I should do would be great!

Thanks everyone!

100 is what I've seen used ones... From GM it's a 200 part.. I'm really needing a lid though. The money isn't needed but I was thinking 75 for the blemished 150 for the new one.. Does that even sound fair?? I saw the reciept for the badge 189.99 plus 15 percent markup..

Crazy then my shop got ripped off.. They went scamming me because I paid nothing.. I still have their reciept and stuff for it. When calling a GM parts store they wanted over 200 so I though that guy was getting a deal when he paid 215$ shipped.. Maybe I'll just keep them both if they really only go for 75 new..

I would put the new one on the car and use the old one as some kind of decorative piece in my office or something. I actually thought of buying one to place near my desk.

Most of the time buying direct from GM is going to cost more and the body shops do not mind paying because the ins is what really pays for it. The 75 bux is what I have seen them go for every now and then, The 98.95 +8.00 shipping is all day long for the red, the black ceta ones are more. It is crazy to see the mark up that you see from a lot of body shops and dealerships isnt it?

I've got a K&N smooth bellows that I didn't use from my FIPK intake. I already had an SLP one. I'll swap ya, hose bands included.
