i just ordered the cf overlay kit from rksport and a ta bezel from specmo. i was wondering could i get the bezel overlaid to match. and how it would look?

This is one that I did. I used carbon fiber vinyl.

The vinyl was a PIA to do. I got the vinyl from a friend who owns a grphics shop, but you can buy small sheets of the carbon fiber vinyl on ebay.
It took me around 6 hours to do mine. I used a hair drier to sort of melt the vinyl around the bezel.

How close does the CF vinyl look to the real thing if it is applied correctly? Thanks

It looked good with the stock gauges, but after having the Z06 style done it didn't look good - kind of clashed so I have since removed the vinyl. I was going to cover it in actual carbon fiber cloth, but did the vinyl just to see how it would look.

rob 98z, i talked to mark about the z06 gauges. i might get him to do them on white or silver macewn or graneltelli gauges. w/ the gauges being done in white or silver do you think the ta bezel in cf would still clash. i also have the cf overlay kit from rksport. do you think this would be to much? just trying to be different and look good while doing it. but i dont want it to be tacky. please give me your opinion.

IMO it is too "busy" with the Z06 checkers and the checkered pattern of the carbon fiber. To me it took away from Marks great work. The CF looked great with just to stock factory black face, not sure how it would look on white face. There were just too many squares going on in one place if you know what I mean. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
