Default 98-02 Trans Am HID Conversion Kit

Can anyone vouch for this kit?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-02...Q5fAccessories

It looks like it has everything from what I've read but I'm unsure. And if it's not what I need... where can I find a complete kit?

Looks legit, they show pics of all the parts included so you should be okay. Go for it!

Awesome. I Think its a little more than buying the parts seperate like on the write up, but i guess its worth it. Has anyone had any experence with this kit or the seller before?

Never had experience with them personally but have heard good things about them from others and they have been around for quite a while. You probably could get all the parts seperate for a little cheaper but with stuff like this sometimes its nice to just get it all at once and be done with it.

I bought a set of 6K HID's for my car....I wanted the HID lights for my low and high beam...initially I received a set where the highs were HID and the lows were halogen...that defeats the purpose of buying HID's. I didnt buy from this seller, just making a point.

Are you talking about Hawks 3rd gen, or Euro light as the seller?

The higher in temp you go, ie 10k vs 5k.. you get less light output, creates more glare, is more blue (way high temps like 12+k) are purple etc.

The higher temps appear brighter to the eye but since they create more glare but less light output it Is just tricking your eyes.

If you want the most light output with blinding oncomers more than you already will be by using a halogen housing you need to keep it 6k or under, 4300-5k is ideal.

I can't remember what temp it starts at but iirc it is somewhere around 10k you would actually be better off just replacing your stock housings and getting a bright halogen. This way you get more light and wont blind anyone from the glare. Only reason to go above 6k is if you want hids for an appearance mod. Rice much?

35 w 6k

My lows are 55w 8k, was trying to make them match the fogs

http://s250.photobucket.com/albums/gg259/xhk651/

I know I have a lot of pics but go through and find ones of my lights. They are blinding, I get flashed constantly when my car is out at night.
I have them angled down extremely low, any lower and I should have stayed with stock lights. Even if I had them only ten feet in front of the car, within 25ft or so it is blinding regardless. If you watch cars that pass me at night a few car lengths before they get to me the ENTIRE inside of their vehicle Is lit up like there 50 mag light flash lights inside of It, or day light. same thing while sitting at stop signs or red lights etc..

Do you drive with your fogs on? I've found that the fog lights when HID'd create a crazy amount of glare. I got flashed almost daily when I drove with them on. I realized what was happening, turned them off (at least 4 months ago), and have only been flashed maybe 5 times since then.

Oh and OP - DO NOT go with the Eurolight housings. They are much worse than LMC housings. So if you're going to put an HID in a halogen housing, go with the LMC's.

Thanks, The 10k didn't look blue-ish in that link pic, but false advertisement is a *****. I guess I'll order my parts seperate.
