TEASER: Flat Black Stripes Iv changed my mind again lol. I use to have silver stripes on my car, but I got bored! So this is the 3rd time Iv painted the hood lol. I just put the hood on and still need to put the grills in but I thought Id share a few pictures!

I have flat black blackbird stripes on my car. You'll love how the flat black is. Some angles you can see it really well and others it kinda disappears. Also can come off as looking like different colors in certain light. As long as I have a black car i'll some sort of flat black on it.

Yeah thats why I wanted them. I wanted to do ghost stripes but every test panel I did looked like ****,(Im a painter) so I thought Flat!! I wish I could have painted it, but I couldnt get teh look I wanted out of paint, so vinyl is what I did! What do you guys use on the flat black, any vinyl dressings? Glass Cleaner? Iv heard a lot of ideas..or do you not use anything?

funny I had silver to but hockey stripes and I dont think I even had them on a year. I now have flat blk stripes and yes very nice on gloss blk cars[IMG]

i found the wax gets around the edge of the vinyl, giving it a tiny white outline... took a brush to it. as long as its a quality vinyl it should last a while, never heard of any maintenance on them...

Camaro I did the same exact thing on my B4C Camaro, I have only done the hood and im working at getting the hockey stripes on it now.
I'll be posting more of the car as soon as the hockey stripes are on.

Looks good man.. Wanting to do some flat black stripes on my hood but I have the big, sloped ws6 hood from VFN so I have to find some one to custom make them AFTER I have you paint my hood lol.
