Default Scratches in NBM paint, how to cover them up?

When I used to have my black Z28 I used to use the black Turtle Wax to cover up any decent sized scratches on it and it did a great job. Even deeper scratches you had to get right up on them to even tell they were there. Now I've got a NBM '99 Z28 and I have a few scratches I'd like to do the same with. I remember they used to make a blue Turtle Wax but I'm pretty sure they discontinued it. Does anybody know of a probuct you could use to do this or somewhere to maybe still get the blue Turtle Wax? Maybe since NBM is so dark the black Turtle Wax will work?

If you're talking about the black box turtle wax kit it should work just fine

ok so i assume you are talking about swirl marks.

you will need a good process to ramp up to remove the swirls.
1. Wash with a soapy car wash solution
2. collection of clean towels to dry car.
3. regular waxing rotation.

i think you should start your waxing off with meguiars ultimate compound. Its a fine wax and you want to work it into your paint. the more coats you get on the paint the more you will smooth out those fine "scratch" marks out enough that you can get a good wax fill into them.

The thing that works the best with my NBM paint was:
Turtle wax polishing compound.
Swirl-x
carnuba wax.

ive found that the more you wax a stubborn paint job the better the better the results will be.

Now if you just want it knocked out in one swoop you will need a professional buffer and pad setup. However i had good results using turle wax polishing compound thoroughly followed by meguiars swirl-x

hope that helps

If you get a buffer and some meguiars ultimate compound and polish, you get them right out.
