The one you see in his picture is a plastic one that I cut for test fitting before I had some made from aluminum. After trimming it down to fit the LS1 intake (LS1 is smaller then the LS6 in that area) Steve painted it Cast color. The one's I made are all sold with the exection of a SOM colored one with LS1 on it.

Here's a picture of what the aluminum ones look like.

EDIT: BTW that's a much better name for Steve. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Did you just silicon underneath that to seal the EGR opening?

Doh. The engine plate. That is a plate that I made for Steve. I did about 16 of them when I did the intake plates. You can get some from www.mbaproducts.com

Yes like Rob said.. Ive always thought about the idea of a plate to go in that area.. At the time Rob was starting his head plaque project and proposed the Intake plate to him. He made a template from plexi for his car then had billet ones made and engraved.

Earlier this year I deleted my EGR, I pulled the system and used a 1 3/8 expandable plug with some JB weld to seal the hole in my LS1 intake.. the problem was that the LS6 intake plate was just a tad too big to fit in the LS1 intake so Rob gave me his plexi template and I modified it to fit and painted it charcoal. Now that im installing my LS6 intake I can add the proper plate.

Yes, I love the engine plate Rob made for me.. its a one of one deal. You could always order a blank one from MBA product, have it powder painted then have it engraved.. One difference is that the MBA ones use all four head bolts and Robs uses only two (more room for words.

Hope this helps.
