I have that hood and just to for warm you it isn't cheap!!!! I paid $1200 for it and the fiberglass is real thin. Go to DGMOTORSPORTS.COM they have the functional hood and the non functional.

I think he means the protype crowl ZL1 hood on GM's 427ci blue wide body camaro!

The hood he is talking about is the hood on GMs Jon Moss ZL1 big block Camaro. The black Camaro with the silver stripe that challenged John Colletti's Boss Hemi Mustang. I too want that hood, but I don't think anyone will ever make it.

They do make that hood that Jon Moss has on his camaro. I have it, I bought it and had it made special to fit the exact dimensions for my car.

The DG hood is not very high and it's not much different looking IMO from a stock SS hood. I have one of the airboxes for that hood, a guy left it at a buddy's body shop because it would not fit very well...

I bought the functional ZL1 big block hood and my air box fit fine. it really no different except that the hood is brought down more and it is 2 1/2 inch and alot wider. Did he have it custom made to fit his car.

Yes It is the same design as the Zl1 hood on Jon Mosse's car. The only difference is Jon Moss had the underside constructed differently to accomidate his 572 CU in motor. His hood doesnt have the curves that the SS hood does or that mine has, since his car is a 93 with a front nose of a 99 model. The underside is around the same as the Z's hood. I'm not sure what they used but my hood doesnt have one since i bought the functional hood for my year car. I'll post alot of pics, I'm taking them today.

The DGMotorsports hood is a ZL-1 style hood, but the hood on the Concept ZL-1 is taller. I want that exact hood, the tall one that is functional with stock intake. I like the Concept ZL-1 hood because of it's harsher lines and because of how tall it is. If I didn't care about the harsh angles and lines then I would consider the VFN hood, but it is not functional and the transition from the side of the scoop to the top of the scoop is too smooth. I want more of an angle.

GO TO JCWHITNEY.COM OR ANY SITE OR PLACE THAT HAS HOOD SCOOPS.
THE ZL1 SCOOP IS A STINGRAY HOOD OFF A OLD VET I THINK IN THE 60'S.
I PAID $47. FOR THE SCOOP & $13 FOR THE KIT. ALL TOGETHER IT WAS ABOUT $300 W/PAINT. I WILL SOON HAVE SOME PIC OF IT. ITS REALY BAD-

You can get your fenders flared. Any good body shop will do it, not sure how much it would cost but I don't think it would be an outrageous amount.
