SOM WS6 engine bay & TDs w/ Corsa tips complete. Painted intake & coils, wire mod etc
#42
Lookin' good. I still need to do the wire mod myself.
My recommendations:
Paint the bumper cover support pieces body color to match the bumper, or engine bay color to match the engine bay
CETA mod (personal preference)?
!battery handle. If the tray is broken, fix it.
Do something with the valve covers, cylinder heads, throttle body, and MAF. Paint/polish/whatever
Detail the engine bay. Paint polish/sealer works on the engine bay & underside of hood just like the rest of the car. Also, CD2 engine detailer is amazing.
Relocate the grounds from the left and right of the lower airbox to underneath the airbox (use the outermost airbox bolts to ground the contact points.

Can't do the CETA mod on this car. I don't think it looks good on SOM, and I feel painting over SOM is a sin! The valve covers will get a bright silver/aluminum powdercoat or chrome dipped. I might do the cylinder head plate on the front when I get some 243s. MAF, will stay stock for awhile. Might polish it up or something. The TB is ported and polished, and has a polished/brushed look to it right now. And yeah the engine bay is dirty. Previous pics in the thread, it was highly detailed.
The front bumper cover support, is that the black piece in front of the windshield washer fluid reservoir?

Cool, thanks for ideas.
The grounds to the left and right of the airbox actually look like crap removed. The "nut" below it looks all rusted up and stuff. Looks better with them there. But I DID definitely like the removed ground wires on the shock towers.

Haha. He lives next to my ex's parents, and I saw the car from inside the house one day and I just got up and ran outside in the middle of a conversation. They were like "WTF?". His wife's car is a decent benchmark for AW T/As as well. Lol
But seriously, I'd be honored if my car look half as good as yours. Keep it up
