Default Am I completly INSANE for getting this??

Here is what I got today..

Normally I see this sort of stuff as "snake oil" but ive read a ton of reviews on it and ZOOPS is a reputable company..

Ive seen their hot rod done is this stuff and it look like brand new even though it hasnt been polished in a year.. Still its hard to justify $130 for 4 ounces of stuff (well you do get an entire application kit and video also)..

If this works on my engine stuff then it might be the hot ticket for people with polished rims <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

opinions???

A recent Trucks! show featured Zoop Seal. Tracy said that it can last for 2 years and keep the metal looking like it was just polished. But IMHO $130 for 4 ounces is way too much. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> Chrome is cheaper in the long run. (Although not everything can be chromed.) Lemme know if it works as well as people say.

Well its been reviewed by several mags.. and its pretty well known in the rodder world. From what I understand it fills the poors in the various metals (brass, alum, stainless, etc) and stops stains.. According to what ive found out it will not chip, yellow and can withstand temps to 500 degrees. It can be removed with acetone but is impervious to engine degreesers like GUNK and such..

Read through the site.. very informative.. its just a lot of $$ per an ounce for something that dosent give you a buzz.. :laugh:

Once more I will be the fbody ginnie pig.. I could sure be a time saver..

Well you do get a lot of stuff in the kit for $130.. still.. Some things just cant be chromed.. and some things look better polished. At least its an option <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I will be sure to issue a product review (oh, and the 4oz is enough to do an entire engine bay and 4 wheels.. so it goes a LONG way.. )

I've benn looking at Zoop for the outer rim after I paint the center spokes on my TT2s, let us know how it works.

I have TT2's and even though I haven't had a problem keeping them looking new, the less work that I would have to put into polishing by using this stuff would help a lot.

Seems like alot of dinero...you should be sponsered by them if you're gonna be the ginnie pig of them all. Tell'em you have alot-o-friends in the f-body crowd that might be interested in their product but not sure how it works. You just may get sponsered. i got a box sittin here wating to go on my tt2s this weekend i cant wait o never have to polish again! actuially steve if you use regular alumnium polish that will take the zoop seal off just a fiy.

Nope they were sold to someone. Part of the sale of the HREs was a set of Z06s that went with it. A set of 4th gen wheels would be useless for him.
