Default 30th Blue TA Stripes on non-WS6 white formula?

What do you think this would look like? Good/Bad? I have been tossing the idea around

I think it would look good. I've always liked the white/blue combo. You have the stock hood on your formula?

i like the white/blue combo, but i dont think the 30th stripes will accentuate the lines of the stock hood that well.

I would love to be proven wrong, but i feel that the WS6 hood and the 30th stripes are very well suited for eachother, the way they flow with the raised portion of the Ws6 hood.

I wanted to see if he had a different hood other than the stock one. But yeah I agree, those stripes on any hood wouldn't touch the way it will look on a WS6 hood.

Please don't be a poser!
Also, the stripes are designed to begin at the scoops and compliement them, it would not look good on a stock, flat hood.

I have a '98 white TA that i purshased a WS6 hood for. While thinking of stripe combos, i like the 30th stripes blue color and was thinking of going with that. But because of ignorant people like you thinking i'm trying to imitate a 30th i'm going with black instead.

Imitation is the sincerist form of flattery

First off, I think they would look stupid on a flat Trans Am hood. They look good on the WS6 hood, because that's what they are made for. Also, I think that 30th TA 219 has a point. If everyone put blue stripes on their white Trans Am's, we would have a whole lot of 30th look-a-likes out there. He's not trying to **** anyone off, he's only saying that those of us with 30th's have something nice, and we don't need other people screwing that up. If you want a white Trans Am with blue stripes, get a 30th.

wasn't trying to be a jackass only saying don't try to perpetrate. This goes back to the old topic of calling a Z28 with and SS hood an SS or building a WS6 clone and calling it a WS6, but on a much bigger scale. Besides, you'll just get people asking you all the time, "how come you took out the white seats?" Or "What happened to the blue wheels?" "What number is it?"

I am not trying to be a poser, if I was trying to do that, I would of purchased:

Blue Rims

Blue WS-6 Emblems

White Leather seats

30th TA Emblems

oh yeah I would of had to start calling it a 30th TA too, oh wait, its a formula

The two 30th guys sound like most Vette owners.

To tell some that it is gay to want to put blue 30th Anniv. stripes on THEIR car is the dumbest thing i have read on this board. That beats the LG cam posts. 95% of the motoring public has never seen or cares what a 30th TA is. The other 5% would know what to look for, for the most part. He asked a simple question, and was wanting to get thoughts on what it might look like. Not someone telling them that idea is gay. So I guess when I get around to getting a 01-02 SOM Formula and want to put a Ram Air hood on it, with Ram Air decals, I better not, because all the people thinking that I'm trying to be a poser, and wanting to copy a car that I think looks very good. I guess just call me a ricer poser.

Back to the orginal topic...on a flat hood in my opinion I don't think it would look to good. On a Ram Air or like, I think it would look very good. Maybe someone here can Photochop the stripes on a flat hood so we can get an idea of what it would look like?

First off, I never called anyone a poser and never said anything was gay. Ever since "The Fast and the Furious" came out, their have been thousands of ricers trying to imitate the cars on the movie. Most of these imitations look absolutely rediculous. All I'm saying is don't create a Trans Am that looks really stupid. It hurts all Trans Am owners. The stripes look good an a Ram Air hood, not a flat hood. I've seen it. By the way, the fact that 95% of the public hasn't seen a 30th is the good part. That's because there were only 1600 of them built, and that's what we like about our cars.

here is a couple poor pics of a blue single stripe (looks similar to the 25th, or maybe a single 30th) on a 99 V6 white bird.

Might be a sugestion, i thought it looked good in person, i can try to find some better pics, it was a friends car.
