If u look inside the grille there's four tabs holding it in. Get a really small flat head in there and have at it, but be gentle its just plastic.

As others have said your almost guaranteed to snap the tabs on your 10year old (at best) plastic grill. If you just want to pretty it up, check out our new SS hood grills: http://store.yoastfabrication.com/se...m--dsh-/Detail

Just be gentle while prying it out(careful not to scratch the hood). When I was in the process of removing mine I noticed that the 2 lower tabs were missing prior to me removing it so that leads me to believe that a previouse owner had previously removed it. Even though its missing those 2 tabs it won't fall out and doesnt budge once installed. So if you break 1 or 2 of the tabs you should be fine unless knowing that its broken bothers you. Hawks3rdgen has some replacement plastic ss hood grilles on ebay for $35 shipped.

I took mine out. Just move slow like your disarming a bomb. I painted it black so it is easier to clean. Kept getting polish on it

I also took a heavy paper clip and bent it into a small pull hook the help with the pulling it out while gentle prying the tabs.

Would be smart to place a layer or two of painters tape on the hood to avoid scratches.
