Default SS Spoiler stripe residue

I just got a ls1 style spoiler and it has a faint trace leftover form the checkered anniversary stripes. can someone tell me how to remove them, they are not sticky or anything. has anyone ever seen something like this, they almost appear like ghost stripes in a way if that helps describe them. ill take some pics later if i can.

Either rubbing alcohol or something like Goo-Gone. If neither one will remove the look, next would be to have it wet sanded and re-polished out since there wouldn't be anything on the surface but rather the paint/clear has faded due to the stripes being on there.

it would not come off, not even with paint thinner. i think im just going to repaint it anyway, i was just looking for a temp repair, the corners are chipped form being dropped or something.

have anyone seen an SS spoiler painted black underneath and the top the same color as the car? i found this post and it looks sweet.
