Default VFN ws9 outlaw wont fit, added pics

I adjusted the fender as much as I could and theres still aproximately a 1/4 inch height difference. The left corner just wont stay down. The same spot on the right side is fine. I have pictures of both to compare. When I push on the spot it goes down but pops right back up so its not like something is pushing it up I just think its the hood that is warped. I don't know how else to adjust my bodywork to make it match. The last picture is the right side that is flush, the others are the bad left side.

If I cant get it to fit I'm going to be fairly angry. It cost me 200 dollars to get it shipped here. No way am I paying 200 to ship it back for another one.

im assuming that the company you got it from should be able to reimburse you for you having to ship it back and they they ship it back to you for free, or they do all the shipping, to and from for free. just call them up and tell them whats happening and send hem the pics, clearly looks like its off! Hope that helps! GL!

My outlaw hood did the same thing, the left corner by the headlight. I had move the front bumper cover down some, remove the front left hood rubber adjuster/hood stop and leave the right side adjuster/hood stop on. And adjust the headlight covers some. Good luck let me know if that works

Mine is the same way (vfn ws6 hood). My drivers side hood by the fender is about 1/4" higher and that was after the body shop worked on it. I was thinking about putting some weight or something to see if it would flex alittle but I'm afraid of the paint. There's nothing really I can do

My VFN hood does the same thing. I called the company and they said in time the fiberglass would settle down because of heat. I've had it for almost and year and iut hasnt changed at all.

I had a VFN Sunoco hood on my Camaro and it needed some work to make it fit but my body guy made it look perfect. The guy "cutting it in" has to be good most of the time. Good Luck

We noticed your other post, and had suggested moving the latch. Please keep in mind that these hoods pivot on the latch - much like a teeter totter. For example, your driver's side is sitting high...slightly loosen the latch, tap it slightly over, maybe about a 1/4" over towards the driver's side, and it will pull that side down.

The customer with the Sunoco, you'll want to do the same...and want to tap it over to the passenger side.

This should correct both problems.

Thanks!
Jeanie

Remember, you will be doin this with ALL types of hoods, even OEM SS/WS.6 hoods You will need to mess with the alignment. Knowing what moves what will be 98% of the issue. I would PM VFN with future questions and the main thing is to do small changes.

I've had to adjust body panels on OEM hoods before as well. VFN gave some good advise on adjusting the hood latch.

I can see in the middle pic you posted that your latch is too high. Try lowering it down and doing what VFN mentioned. They're not joking about that latch being key in getting it all to fit correctly.

Also remember there are 4 bump stops under the hood that need to be adjusted. I had to take a wrench and crank all of them as low as I could.

Good info. My hood fits like crap I dont know what brand it is it was already on the car when I bought it. But the drivers side front corner is about 3/4in higher than the fender and headlight
