Default new paint and vfn hood pics!

Sorry guys, just a couple of teasers... I painted the car Candy Apple red with HOK paint, i got in a little wreck and decided to repaint it.. I did all the work myself and just got the hood today so i took some pics of test fitting it. Here are some of the pics^

NearFuture LS1 -no,lol, no special intake, but maybe in the near future there will be some kind of better intake for it... I went with stock mode for awhile , and it got old, so i needed a change.

BTW, the hood is EXTREMELY light, if i had to guess , probally say 24IBS, but i could be way off, the stock hood is HEAVY! When i get done with the hood you will see why i got it, it will diffently offset the beatiful paint i put on it..

Not a huge fan of red, but damn man, that looks good! That black hood kinda looks cool that way too, but i hope you paint it the same color as the car, cause that will smooth her out sooooo much more. Personally, i'd have to add a set of Berger stripes to her, but i'd like to see what you've got in store...good job!

Love that red!
I'm gonna do the berger stripes with my VFN SS hood.

**Be prepared** I found about 6 dimples in the fiberglass now that I've had it on for over a month. Not sure why and doesn't seem to coincide with where the underside brackets are, but may be related. I am a bit pissed because I was going to get it painted soon. I have to ask them about it next week. Just look out for dimples.

Your Z looks awesome!

I love candy apple red on ANY Camaro. I have a Sunset Orange Metallic SS right now, and I've probably said 1000 times, when ever I goto repaint my car it will be either candy apple red or a candy apple orange.

I ordered the same VFN SS hood also, but I ordered the lift off/pin on version. I should have mine in a couple weeks.

Can't wait to see your car all completely painted!

Great pictures! I love that red also. My T/A is Bright Red, and although I do like it, I always thought the red could have been a little deeper. That is nice!

And this is a great opportunity to remind people of the VFN GP going on. We need 10 people to get an additional $75 off their already great prices.

Great pics, I really like how the hood came out, HackerJoe, Mean and I went over to VFN several times after work to help come up with that design... Originally they wanted to make it 4 inches high, but HackerJoe in particular pointed out how the hood would then look too much like a 4" cowl hood... Now if we can redesign the 4" WS6 hood we will be totally set.

Dimples are to be expected, all aftermarket hoods need some sanding and prepping.
